the Feast of the Lambs

Celia, Robin and I just ate the best Easter dinner ever. I am still flashed.

Robin made a Indonesian/Dutch specialty called “Spekkoek”. Crazy good!! It was a bit winter-y but if he will share me his recipe I will make it into an Elmlid-Christmas tradition. It is very hard to get into my cake list. But this one is one it.

Celia made her papas famous hollandaise sauce with white Asparagus. I never had them white before since I have been afraid of the slimy look. But with this sauce they were so nice.

I made Lamb. What can I say, I just love lambs. Alive, and Dead.

[...] 1,5 years ago, for Easter Dinner, I was introduced to this Thousand layered Indonesian-Dutch Cake (Indonesian – Lapis Legit) that my friend Robin van der Kaa made. It is a relic from the Dutch occupation in Indonesia. And it is so so good. It is rather thought as a dessert cake but since today I know that it also works perfectly instead of brioche with foie gras too. So please try Robins recipe (he accedently used Coriander instead of Cinnamon. No problem, it tasked great). [...]
